My ex was a stoner and im not, I knew he smoked weed but according to him he only dabbled which I didnt have a problem with, fast forward a couple of years and were living together I soon learn dabble actually meant every single day and e wouldnt leave it alone even for one night every now and then so I could invite my friends and family over or so we could go out for dinner without that dopey stoned look on his face, his only idea of a good time was sitting around getting high, in the end I told him I wanted so much more from a partner, a relationship, my life and my future and that if he was genuinely loved getting high that much and its what brought him joy and happiness then he shouldnt stop doing it for me or anyone, but I wasnt willing to have my life to revolve around his habit any more, I left and am doing all the things I enjoy, hanging out with my people and planning things in my future while he continues to get high in some dingey little shed every night, such a shame and such a waste but each to their own Why did you even continue the relationship when he stated he would not change
