Charles I 1646 Newark Siege Sixpence eagle standing right on aCharles I (1625 49), silver obsidional Newark Sixpence, 1646, Royal crown, C to left, R to right, denomination below in Roman numerals, beaded border both sides, rev. three line inscription and date, OBS: NEWARK 1646, weight 2. 84g (Brooker 1228; N. 2642; S. 3146). Toned, struck a little off centre, hairline scratches and striking flaws both sides, otherwise very fine for issue and the rarest and shortest lived Newark denomination, rare.
