Night Moves travel but as the tide droppedThese 'minute fruit bats' would dangle from the coconut palm fronds, screeching at each other throughout the day, then finally come out at dusk for a flap and a snack. While these rainforest dwelling bats have been named for their smaller stature in comparison to other members of the megabat family, such as the flying fox, I found their 'minute' wingspan of two to three feet quite impressive.
