The British Army regiments had different patterns of caps; the guards' pattern cap is very distinctive, having a short peak at more vertical than the standard regimental patterns. This example is in excellent condition, no moth damage, both sides of the cap with the regimental pattern tartan. Very dark brown bordering on black cap strap. Royal Scots King's Crown
