I ended up modeling the Avett letters after the iconic Jack Daniels lettering with the hope that people would subconsciously draw a connection between the two the night of the show

I then created a glow in the dark layer showing many of history's most deadly dictators to help contrast the serenity of the blue sky

The illustration is a nod to early hard liquor packaging and labels

When I started piecing the image together I felt I wasn't getting enough contrast and abandoned the idea in favor of a more graphic solution
