School Room bin British-built by MirrleesEmpty desks and chairs stand in rows beneath windows that still let the light in, in a classroom at Family School Fureai in Yubari, Hokkaido. The building opened as Yubari Municipal Asahi Elementary School in 1975, consolidating three predecessor schools into one reinforced concrete three storey structure. Asahi closed in 1983, only eight years after it opened. Part of the Family School Fureai series.
