I found the cardns here to be, on average, 5 to 10 feet taller than those on the Pacific side of the southern Baja Peninsula. They also grow in much higher densitycovering fields and mountainsides for kilometers in dense thickets. Walking among them felt like being in an old growth forest, but in the desert.
