The coat is made of a hand dyed snakeskin in a beautiful, rich red hue. It has its original, detachable fox fur collar that is also dyed to match exactly and is wonderfully thick and supple. I love that you can remove it it makes the trench that much more versatile and extends the season you can wear it. It buttons to close and you cinch the waist in
