floral perfumed aroma reminded us of a fruit salad with vanilla ice cream

burnt toffee and nutmeg moved towards barbecued prawns with liquorice and tar suggesting sticky medicinal cough mixture

Cask No. 53.488 Feis Ile Celebratory Bottle PowershakeThe neat nose revealed creamy, sweet peat smoke, with hints of salty old sherry sloshing about in the depths. A perfect fusion we felt, one which balanced the briny, lemony distillery character with the richness of balsamic glaze and bacon jam coming from the cask. Water revealed kippers, iodine, camphor and some lovely herbal ointments. The palate suggested smouldering hardwoods up front, with resinous fir wood, natural tar extracts, pickled walnuts
