German WWII SS Officer’s Sword Knot constructed from cork and coveredA very fine and well preserved example of the SS officers sword knot, issued for use with the standard SS officers dress sword during the Second World War. This piece retains its original black and silver wire construction, showing excellent finish to the bullion and no signs of oxidisation or damage. The stem is tightly bound, and the acorn knot is firm with no fraying or loss to the weave. The black underlay is clean and unfaded, with stitching
