Natural Indigo Fabric from Guinea #315 Nigerian art adorned with vibrant beads andThis gorgeous piece of indigo was made near Conakry, Guinea, West Africa. Beginning with a base fabric of machine made cotton jacquard "bazin", the intricate patterns are stitched and tied by hand on the undyed cloth. Many times into the indigo dye bath creates an amazingly dark cloth. Many piece of this cloth still have the remnants of the original tying materials, left in to show the authenticity of the handwork done in preparation for dyeing. This
