Mounted between the body and a suspension arm, it measures the vertical position of the axle and feeds the ride height signal to the air suspension ECU, which regulates air spring pressure to maintain the set ride height. This later (10MY) sensor supersedes the earlier type: its three pin connector is compatible with the previous six pin wiring, and it fits both the left and right hand sides.
