Ainu Blanket Fragile The patchwork pillow is madeThis is POJ Studio's first collaboration with the indigenous Ainu community of Hokkaido, Japan. We worked with Kayano Kimihiro, the founder of Nibutani Works, a company dedicated to creating sustainable jobs for young Ainu artisans and preserving Ainu crafts for the next generation. Together with Mr. Kayano and designer Hase Yuka, we created this blanket and our Ainu Noren. The design of these products incorporates traditional Ainu patterning. The
