and this was taken there circa 1907

Most of the children seem to be wearing hats and bonnets

so it's half plate

but small pieces of the black paint on the back of the image has come off and stuck to the backing paper

1/6 Daguerreotype Photo Old Quaker Woman Pennsylvania Photographer 1800s Black cat They both enlisted 10 days1 6 daguerreotype of an old Quaker woman, taken by the Pennsylvania photographer Thomas Hutchinson, who had studios in Philadelphia, and in the neighborhood of Frankford. The village of Frankford was established by the Quakers in about 1682. Dag is behind mat and cover glass in a full leather case. The covers are separated and the leather looks to be slightly different colors, but this is the original case you can tell by how the halves fit together
