I have mixed a glaze stain into the clay body which creates a hot red colour when the lamp is illuminated

Some people have flowers or lace from their wedding or other life events immortalised in their tiles

It has small raised areas on the inside base

This porcelain lamp has been inlaid with roses and the porcelain body has been stained to give a pink hue

It has then been screen printed with different glaze colours. It was inspired by the joy and inner peace I feel from looking out to sea on a summers day. The way the porcelain lamp looks changes throughout the day, due to the different light levels in the room. When lit the lamp emits an ethereal glow, converting the surface decoration into textures
