M331 Fragment 5" wide x 11Sculptural 18th century Italian gilded candlestick base with a coordinating iridescent abalone shell and encrusted with natural forming baroque pearls. Abalone or "Haliotis Iris" are known for their iridescent and pearlescent features. The shell has natural forming baroque pearls. The hand carved base originally came from a historical church in Italy. The gilded fragment is adorned and encrusted with baroque pearls and iridescent, pearlescent pieces.
