What I focus on when Im making or modifying pieces Clean seams and a smooth bodice fit (this is what makes it look professional) Layering lightweight fabrics for that petal effect Adding structure only where needed so it still moves when I walk Finishing touches like a neat hem and secure attachments (because nothing ruins a night like petals falling off on the dance floor) If you dont sew You can still get the custom vibe by tailoring the fit: adjusting straps, adding a belt detail, or pinning the skirt layers so they sit exactly where you want
